Lithium Batteries Restriction

  • Lithium Batteries less than or equal to100 watt hour (2 g) which are in equipment can be carried on carry-on baggage as well as Checked baggage. Operator approval is not needed.
  • Spare Lithium Batteries less than or equal to 100 watt hour (2 g) can be carried on carry-on baggage (no limit) but can’t be carried on Checked baggage. Operator approval is not needed.
  • Lithium Batteries greater than 100 watt hour (2 g) & less than or equal to 160 watt hour which are in equipment can be carried on carry-on baggage as well as Checked baggage. Operator approval is needed.
  • Spare Lithium Batteries greater than 100 watt hour (2 g) & less than or equal to 160 watt hour can be carried on carry-on baggage (maximum allowed 2 pieces) but can’t be carried on Checked baggage. Operator approval is needed.
  • Lithium Batteries greater than 160 watt hour must be presented & carried as Cargo in accordance with the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations.
