If check-in is required, passengers are requested to arrive at the airport at least 2 hours prior to their scheduled departure time. Passengers who have completed online check-in but need to drop off baggage are also requested to arrive at least 2 hours before departure.

Please be notified that for flights departing from Washington, Ethiopian Airlines has temporarily limited excess baggage to a maximum of 2 per passenger making the total number of accepted checked baggage 4 per passenger. The additional 2 excess bags will be accepted on standby and may not be shipped on the same flight.

VISA for passengers transiting through ICN
Kindly note that since our flight will have a technical landing in Seoul, passengers with the nationalities Sudan, Syria, Egypt, Yeman are required to hold a transit VISA for South Korea.

Please be informed that if your flight has a stopover at Incheon Airport (ICN), based on the local requirement you are required to disembark, go through transit security screening, and then re-board the aircraft.

Travel Advisory

1. All travelers are required to submit thier SG Arrival Card before arriving in Singapore, except:

  • Those transiting/transferring through Singapore without seeking immigration clearance

  • Residents travelling through the land checkpoints.

Please note that the SG Arrival Card is not a visa. You may refer to the requirements for entering Singapore for more information.

2. All passengers with travel history to countries with risk of yellow fever in the 6 days prior to arrival in Singapore are required to have a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate. The Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate will only be considered valid if issued 10 days prior to arrival into Singapore.

Please note that airport check-in time for your flight on ET928 will be from 15:00 to 18:00 local time.

If travel is on a short-term visa, you will need to have a return ticket preferably on Ethiopia Airlines. If the return ticket is on other airlines, an indemnity will have to be submitted.
Long-term visas under process - Passengers need to carry the payment receipt and Declaration. Passengers will also need to have a single-entry visa to enter South Africa. If NOT OK TO BOARD pops up during the check-in system, passengers must contact DHA-South Africa to have the status changed and obtain a "Waiver of Unfavor" letter from DHA- South Africa.

Ethiopian officers do not call you for payment or ask you to transfer money to any specific bank account . Ethiopian has city offices and airport offices in four cities in Nigeria, namely Kano, Enugu, Abuja and Lagos; you may visit our offices for any further information.

Travel Advisory

  • Passport or national identity cards are required for all passengers traveling between Vienna and Copenhagen, along with residence permit or citizenship in one of the Schengen countries. Driving license or other ID cards are not considered as travel documents.

  • Passengers traveling between Vienna and Copenhagen who require entry visa to Schengen countries must have a valid multiple-entry Schengen visa. Passengers who already used a single-entry Schengen visa to enter Vienna or another Schengen country cannot travel on Ethiopian Airlines flight between Vienna and Copenhagen as their single-entry Schengen visa is already used.

This fare is payable in Ethiopian Birr only if you are an Ethiopian citizen, or you have a residence permit in Ethiopia.

  • It is mandatory to present all the necessary documents upon ticketing (if payment is made at city or airport ticket offices) and at the time of check-in to the airline on demand. Failure to present the required documents may result in the denial of the passenger's flight.

through to the Passport Control and Baggage Claim area, or to the transit exit for connecting passengers.

Nationals of countries that qualify for a visa on arrival should check with the Airport Immigration Office to
enter Ethiopia. All other travelers must arrive holding a valid entry visa and pass through the Passport Control

counters.

Passengers traveling to Ethiopia can obtain an e-visa by applying at https://www.evisa.gov.et/. Entry is
permitted for passengers who hold a confirmation email and the one-page e-visa issued after approval.

Passengers who arrive with incomplete e-visa documentation, or with proof of payment only (without the approved e-visa itself), will not be allowed to enter Ethiopia.

Bole International Airport sits about 8 km (5 miles) from central Addis
Ababa, roughly a 15–30 minute drive depending on traffic. Options include
the Blue Line SkyBus from Terminal 2, official yellow-cream taxis, licensed
private taxis, local ride-hailing apps (Uber does not operate in Ethiopia),
and hotel shuttles arranged in advance.

If a checked bag doesn't arrive with you, report it immediately at the
Baggage Claim Customer Service Desk. Ethiopian Airlines aims to deliver
delayed bags within 24 hours and, for international itineraries, offers a
one-time incidental payment (USD 150 for Cloud Nine/Business, USD 100
for Economy) if the bag misses the next day's flight.

Forex bank counters and ATMs in the arrivals hall let you exchange
currency or withdraw Ethiopian Birr on landing. An Ethio Telecom counter
sells local SIM cards for arriving travelers, and complimentary Wi-Fi is
available throughout the terminal.

After baggage claim, choose the Green Channel if you have nothing to
declare or the Red Channel if you do. All baggage and hand luggage
passes through the X-ray machine before you exit keep your customs
declaration and passport handy.

Ethiopian Airlines Customer Relation Officers meet arriving passengers and guide them to Passport Control and
Baggage Claim, or to the transit exit if you're connecting to another flight.

It depends on your nationality. Travelers from countries eligible for visa on arrival can obtain one at the Airport
Immigration Office; everyone else must arrive with a valid entry visa, such as an approved Ethiopian e-Visa, and clear
the Passport Control counters.

Apply online at evisa.gov.et. Once approved, bring the confirmation email and the one-page e-visa document with
you — a payment receipt alone is not sufficient for entry.

Check the wide-screen baggage display in the arrivals area while you're clearing passport control; it shows the
belt assigned to your flight.

Go to the Ethiopian Airlines Customer Service Desk at the Baggage Claim Area, open 24/7. Agents will help track
your bag; for international flights, delayed-baggage incidental payments (USD 150 Cloud Nine / USD 100 Economy)
apply if it doesn't arrive on the next day's flight.

Yes. The Baggage Claim Area has bank counters and ATMs for currency exchange, plus a booth for local mobile
lines, and there's free Wi-Fi throughout the terminal.
