ApplePay
A mobile payment and digital wallet service by Apple that allows secure payments using Apple devices. This payment method is available from United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Germany, France, Sweden, South Africa, and UAE on Ethiopian airlines mobile app only.
WeChat Pay
A mobile payment feature within the WeChat app, widely used in China. It allows users to pay via QR codes, transfer money, and make online purchases directly from their WeChat account. This payment method is available on Ethiopian airlines website and mobile app.
PayPal e Wallet
A global online payment system that enables secure transactions using your PayPal account or linked cards. This payment method is available on all countries with USD selling currency on Ethiopian Airlines website and mobile app.
Alipay
A leading digital wallet and payment platform in China, operated by Ant Group. It supports QR code payments, online purchases, and money transfers, widely used for e-commerce and in-store payments. This payment method is available on Ethiopian airlines website and mobile app

This payment method is available for customers booking from Belgium, Spain, Austria, France, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Ghana, Spain (BIZUM), Brazil, Singapore, Honk Kong, India, Portugal and Malaysia on Ethiopian Airlines Mobile Application Only.
iDEAL
A Dutch online banking payment method that allows customers to pay directly from their bank account using their bank’s secure environment.
Trustly
An online banking payment method that allows direct payments from your bank account without cards.
SOFORT
SOFORT Banking is a real-time bank transfer payment method that passengers based in Germany can use to transfer funds directly to Ethiopian airlines from their bank accounts. Passenger enters their sort code/bank code. They enter a username and password to login to their bank account. They then enter a transaction authentication number (TAN) or equivalent depending on the country and their bank.
EPS online bank transfer
A general term for platforms that process electronic payments, including credit/debit cards, bank transfers, and digital wallets. EPS ensures secure and fast transactions between customers and merchants.

Bancontact
Bancontact is a Belgian payment method that allows customers to pay directly from their bank account using their debit card. It is widely accepted for online and in-store transactions in Belgium.
Elo Card
Elo is one of the major domestic debit and credit card brands of Brazil. The scheme can support credit and prepaid transactions. Elo is a pure domestic card brand in Brazil and only allows for transactions in Brazilian Real currency. The Elo credit card supports installment that allows the passenger to spread their payments for online purchases over a certain period. Ethiopian airlines accept Installment payment from Brazil through Elo card.
Verve International
A widely used payment card brand in Africa, primarily Nigeria. It works like a debit or credit card and is accepted for online and in-store transactions.

Wave
A mobile money service popular in West Africa. It allows users to send and receive money, pay bills, and make purchases using a mobile app linked to their phone number. Mobi Cash

MTN (MOMO)
A mobile money service provided by MTN, widely used in Africa for transfers, bill payments, and purchases. This payment method is available for customers booking from Congo Republic, Congo DRC, Zambia, Uganda, Rwanda, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Benin and Cameroon on Ethiopian Airlines Website and Mobile Application.
Equitel

A mobile money platform offered by Moov telecom in several African countries. It enables customers to transfer funds, pay for goods and services, and top up airtime via mobile. Ethiopian Airlines accepts credit and debit cards when they are branded as Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club, China Union Pay, JCB and UATP.

A buy-now-pay-later service that allows customers to split payments or defer payment for purchases. This payment method is available for customers booking from Denmark, Finland, Norway, Germany and Sweden on Ethiopian Airlines website and Mobile App.
Klarna Pay overtime is available from Germany only.

Mobile Banking
Passengers can make payment through a mobile banking options from a number of African countries such as Ghana, Nigeria, Tanzania, Ethiopia and others. By this payment method passengers will not be expected to travel to the banks in person rather they can make the payment electronically.

Yes. You can hold your reservation for 24 hours for international and 6 hours for domestic flights and pay later with a credit card on Ethiopian airlines website or on the mobile application. Please note that the booking will be active only for 24 or 6 hours, and it will be canceled afterward.
For security reasons, the holder of the credit card may be contacted by email to verify the credit card used at the airport or at nearby Ethiopian ticket office for in person verification.

There will sometimes be an option to choose the type of credit card you’re using, e.g. Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, or a store credit card. If your credit card processor isn’t listed in the box, the merchant doesn’t accept that type of credit card. You’ll have to use another type of credit. - Enter Your card details as it Appears on Your Credit/Debit Card
Look at the credit card to verify that you’ve entered your name correctly. Then, enter your credit card information: the credit card number, expiration date, and security code. For Visa, MasterCard, and Discover, the three-digit security code will be printed at the back of the card after the credit/debit card number. The four-digit security code for American Express credit cards is printed on the front-right of the card, directly above the credit card number. - Submit the Payment
Once you've ensured that everything is accurate, select the button to submit your order. If your card is enrolled for 3D Secure authentication you will be redirected to the issuing bank page and requested to enter additional information
