Ethiopian Airlines Airplane arrival on Addis AbabaBole international airport

Arrival Services

All arriving passengers on Ethiopian Airlines flights are met by our Customer Relation Officers to guide them through to the Passport Control and Baggage Claim area or through the transit exit for connecting passengers.

Nationals of those countries allowed visas on arrival need to check with the Airport Immigration Office to enter Ethiopia. All others have to come with their entry visas and must pass through the Passport Control Counters.

Passengers traveling to Ethiopia can get their e-visa by applying to https://www.evisa.gov.et/. Passengers with a confirmation email and a 1 page of E-visa issued (sample attached) are permitted to enter Ethiopia. However, Passengers arriving in Ethiopia with incomplete  E-visa documentation or arriving with proof of payment only will not be allowed to enter to Ethiopia.

Click Here for the country list who are allowed visa on arrival.

While waiting for passport clearance passengers can check the wide screen display which indicates at which belt passengers can claim their baggage.

A small Duty Free Shop is available at the Baggage Claim Area. Banks and a booth for local mobile lines are also available.

Ethiopian Airlines has a Customer Service Desk and Office right at the Baggage Claim Area on service 24hrs 7 days a week. In case of missing or damaged baggage our Customer Service Agents are on hand to assist you.

Ethiopian Customs has Green and Red Channel. However, be prepared to have your baggage and hand bag to pass through the Baggage X-Ray machine.
