Ethiopian Airlines is pleased to announce that it has scheduled extra flights to transport Ethiopian passengers returning from Saudi Arabia effective 1st June, 2017.
Ethiopian Airlines is a member of the national task force organized to facilitate safe return of Ethiopian nationals and is currently working in close coordination with the Ethiopian Embassies and Consulates at Jeddah, Riyadh and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Regarding these special arrangements, Group CEO Ethiopian Airlines, Mr. Tewolde GebreMariam, remarked: ‘’As a national flag carrier Ethiopian Airlines has proactively responded to this critical national demand and has finalized preparations to transport Saudi repatriates back to our homeland Ethiopia, with special arrangements to ensure easy access and flow of the travel process. In this regard, we have dispatched a dedicated team that will coordinate the flights at the new offices we have opened at Ethiopian Embassy and Consulate offices in Jeddah and Riyadh; operate extra flights to Medina, Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam and Gizan, while waiving applicable re-booking penalty. We shall also add additional flights considering the volume of demand as required.”
On top of the added weekly flights, Ethiopian operates 21 weekly flights to the four main cities in Saudi Arabia: Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam and Medina.
