Ethiopian Airlines is pleased to announce the new flight services to Lubumbashi in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) effective 27 October 2008. With four weekly flights, Lubumbashi will be linked to all the major capitals of Asia, the USA and the cities throughout Europe. Lubumbashi is the second largest and the business city in the Democratic Republic of Congo and it has manufacturing plants such as textiles, food products and beverages, and copper smelting.

Ethiopian has been providing uninterrupted flight frequencies to Kinshasa, the largest and capital city of the DRC since 1975 and currently it flies daily to this destination.

Ethiopian will operate Boeing 737-700 to Lubumbashi offering a total capacity of 118 seats – 16 in Cloud Nine and 102 in Economy.

The new flights will offer direct connections via Addis Ababa to Ethiopian’s vast network across the globe among which are: Paris, Brussels, Frankfurt, London, Rome, Washington DC, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Beijing, Bombay, Beirut and Dubai.
