"We started our operations to Frankfurt in 1958 with DC-6B aircraft when Ethiopian was just a little over a decade old. Frankfurt is our first European destination and remained on our network uninterrupted for 55 years. Today, it is our main hub for our passenger operations to Europe thanks to our longstanding and mutually beneficial partnership with Lufthansa, and our membership in the Star Alliance. We now have daily flights to Frankfurt with the latest technology aircraft, the 787 Dreamliner, which we were the first to introduce to this destination. I would like to express my gratitude to all our partners, especially Fraport, Lufthansa and Star Alliance, for their continued support, and look forward to many more decades of successful partnership thanks to the rise of Africa as the last frontier of globalization and the bright future of air travel between Africa and the rest of the world ," said CEO Tewolde Gebremariam.
