Se una batteria al lithium può o non può essere trasportata via aerea dipende dalla sua configurazione ed anche dal suo Watt-hour rating(Wh) per quanto riguarda le batterie ricaricabili o il contenuto di Lithium (LC) per quelle non ricaricabili. Per convertire da Amp-hours (Ah) a Watt-hours (Wh), semplicemente moltiplicare Ah x V (il voltaggio).
I terminali di tutte le batterie di scorta devono essere protette dal cortocircuito chiudendole nelle loro custodie originali o mettendo del nastro adesivo sopra i terminali oppure mettendole ognuna in sacchetti di plastica separati.
Le batterie di scorta non devono essere messe nei bagagli a stiva.
Le attrezzature che contengono le batterie, come computer portatili, fotocamere, telefoni cellulari, etc, devono essere tenute spente come provvedimento per assicurarsi che non si accendano accidentalmente se messi nel bagaglio a stiva.

A partire dal 1° giugno 2007 l’Organizzazione dell'Aviazione Civile Internazionale (ICAO) ha disposto che tutti i liquidi, gel, paste e vaporizzatori fino a 100 ml devono essere contenuti in un sacchetto di plastica trasparente e richiudibile, e della capacità massima totale di 1 litro. Le dimensioni della borsa trasparente non devono superare i 20 cm x 20 cm (8 pollici x 8 pollici). I contenitori da oltre 100 ml non saranno accettati neanche se parzialmente vuoti. Tutti gli articoli devono entrare comodamente nel sacchetto di plastica. I passeggeri sono tenuti a conservare separatamente il sacchetto trasparente dei liquidi, per poterlo esibire durante i controlli di sicurezza.
Non ci sono restrizioni sugli alimenti per bambini e sui farmaci. Tuttavia, vi sarà richiesto di esibire un certificato medico per i farmaci assunti a bordo.

How to get your Rail & Fly train tickets
After completing your online booking, you will receive a confirmation e-mail as well as a second e-mail from Ethiopian which is indicating one pickup number per direction, that is two pickup numbers per person for return journeys.
Use these pickup numbers to collect your Rail & Fly train ticket from any DB long-distance ticket machine at your DB departure station. Please ensure that such a long-distance ticket machine can be found at your departure station.
If you have not received an e-mail by Ethiopian Airlines with your pickup numbers, please contact any nearby Ethiopian office or e-mail us at onlinebooking@ethiopianairlines.com.
Due to technical reasons your itinerary is showing fictitious train numbers (starting with 9B), fictitious departure points (QYG) and fictitious times for the train segment. This data is not valid, please contact a DB Travel Center or go to www.bahn.de to check the times of train connections on the actual travel date. Ensure that you are arriving in time at the airport.
