Ethiopian Airlines is the National Distribution Company (NDC) of Galileo, one of the big five Computer Reservation (CRS) and Global Distribution Systems (GDS), since 1997. In line with this agreement, Galileo Ethiopia, a semi-autonomous division within the airline, provides IT related services to:

a. 71 Travel Agencies in Ethiopia

b. 17 Travel Agencies in Burundi

c. 4 Travel Agencies in Djibouti

The service includes supply of equipment, networking to Galileo GDS, training and day-to-day technical support. The number of Travel Agencies using this service is growing.

The IT division of Ethiopian also provides maintenance support to the Common Use Terminal Equipment (CUTE) and Baggage Reconciliation System (BRS) at Bole International Airport under a five-year contract from SITA.

The division has highly competent professionals; particularly in the areas of design, installation and configuration of IT network infrastructures, which can be shared with third parties.
