In the tradition of Ethiopian hospitality we ensure that our passengers are well looked after on board our flights.

Depending on the route, the cabin and time of day, of a flight, passengers will have a service of a hot meal, hot or cold snacks, or light refreshment on board. Passengers will have a selection of wines to go with their meals. Additional choice of drinks, that includes, beer and soft drinks, is available throughout the flight on complementary basis.

Cloud Nine

Every meal and fruits and cheese tray is portioned and provided per the number of passengers.

Cloud Nine Passengers flying Cloud Nine will have a personalized service with a selection of a meal of their own choice from our ‘a la carte’ menu. The meals are served with a choice of fine wines or champagne. As an additional starter Cloud Nine passengers are offered to sample the taste of Ethiopian traditional dish with its unique pancake like bread – injera.

The dessert tray offers a basket of fruits in season, a variety of cheeses and a selection of pastries, complete with a choice of port, brandy or liqueur.

Wine A selection of one white and two red Business Class standard wines will be supplied for all flights and these will also be indicated in the menus.
  • Every meal and fruits and cheese tray is portioned and provided per the number of passengers.

Menu

  • Menus are issued and supplied on all flights out-bound and in-bound per the seat capacity of aircraft and contain
    • The available drinks on-board
       
      • All meals and drinks options and available choices will be incorporated in the menus (Cocktails, Quick Meals…)
         
    • An apology at the bottom ‘We sincerely apologize if we run out of your choice of meal or beverage’.
  • There are Four types of tableware with the proper and selected design that will be presented to passengers at all times
    • Cart Linen
    • Table linen
    • Tray linen
    • Napkin that is also used to wrap cutlery
    • Washed-out linens will never be provided on flights
  • Traditional bread basket will always be availed for C-9 wine and Pastry services

Wine services

  • A selection of one white and two red Business Class standard wines will be supplied for all flights and these will also be indicated in the menus.

Economy Class

All meals, cutlery, salad dressings, bread, crackers, portion cheese and butter will be pre-plated on trays.

Economy class foods Passengers in Economy class will have a three course meal together with their choice of drinks.

Special meals

Specials Passengers with special dietary requirement may request the type of meal they require at the time of booking in advance and Ethiopian will do all possible to provide the special meal ordered.
