Member Get Member Promotion - Get 5,000 Enrolling New Members
Be part of our generous member-get-member program and get rewarded whenever you invite others into our programs.
Invite your colleagues, friends and relatives who are flyers on Ethiopian but who have not yet joined our program. Whenever you do that and new members join our program and quote you as reference in our online enrollment system, you will get 5000 bonus miles. That simply means, you will be able to accumulate enough mileage for a round trip travel to most Ethiopian destinations by inviting only 10 new members.
When new members take round trip flight on ET and qualify for BLUE tier, we will credit 5000 miles into your account.

- A new member can be referred by only one member.
- New enrolling members should specify a membership number of the referring member while enrolling online using http://www.ethiopianairlines.com/rdirect.aspx?link=en/shebamiles/signup.aspx
- A member may refer more than one new member. There is no maximum limit as to how many members one can invite.
- If duplicate accounts are registered for a single member, only the earlier registered account will be honored. If there was a referring member in the second account, mile credits will not be honored even though the member prefers to keep the second account by cancelling the first.
- Ethiopian has the right of not crediting mile credits to referring member if there is any suspicion of dishonesty and fraud.
- This program is valid until December 31, 2010.

Unrestricted Award Transfer for Elite Members
We are glad to announce that ShebaMiles Silver and Gold members have now a distinguished privilege of transferring an award, from the credit available on their account, to anyone of their choice: a colleague, friend or family member. It is a program change that has been frequently suggested in the feedback we have received from our members. By being a Gold or Silver ShebaMiles member, you now have a choice of sharing your awards with your nominee in addition to enjoying the distinguished services reserved for you. All it takes is filling out the award authorization form which is available at all Ethiopian Ticket offices.
Please note that:
- This privilege is allowed to Silver and Gold members only. For Blue
members the existing rule, which allows award transferring to immediate family
members only, will be applied.
- An award may be transferred on to whomever the member chooses, as long as the exchange is not made for commercial gain.
- Gold and Silver members transferring awards to others should fill up an award transfer form, sign on it and submit three copies to the ticket issuing Ethiopian Office along with their passport (ID) and valid membership card.

ShebaMiles on Domestic Routes
Starting from 15 April, 2009 ShebaMiles members can accrue 500 status

Donate Your ShebaMiles for a Good Cause
An agreement has been made between the Ethiopian Airlines and Saint Yared Higher Clinic regarding the establishment of Saint Yared charity account from the mileage accumulated by passengers traveling with the Ethiopian Airlines. The purpose of this charity account is to help needy patients who should go abroad for medical evacuation with their transportation expense.
