ShebaMiles and Euro Bonus Partnership

Effective 29 March 2010 Ethiopian’s ShebaMiles Program has become a partner with Scandinavian Airline’s (SAS) Euro Bonus Program. SAS is the flag carrier of the three Scandinavian countries – Sweden, Denmark and Norway – and operates flights from its three main hubs of Stockholm, Copenhagen and Oslo. Passengers traveling from Africa to Stockholm on Ethiopian will be able to connect to dozens of cities in Northern Europe using SAS. ShebaMiles members will now accumulate miles whenever they travel on a scheduled SAS flight; ShebaMiles members will also be able to redeem their miles to destinations served by SAS. EuroBonus members will also have a chance to accrue and redeem their mileage on Ethiopian flights to dozens of destinations in Africa, including Zanzibar, Kilimanjaro, Nairobi, Mombasa, and Johannesburg.

Ethiopian’s New Partner in West Africa – ASKY

Ethiopian is joining hands with a new partner in West Africa – ASKY. Based in Lomé (Togo), ASKY operates with two modern Boeing 737-700s, linking passengers in West Africa with convenient and frequent flights to points such as Ouagadougou, Bamako, Brazzaville, and Kinshasa. Moreover, ASKY’s schedules at Lomé are linked to Ethiopian’s flights to Addis Ababa and beyond. Now passengers from Niamey and Cotonou can connect to such far-flung destinations as Beijing, Beirut and Bangkok with just two short connections in Lomé and Addis Ababa. Effective March 15, 2010, ShebaMiles members can now accrue and redeem miles on sector which are operated by ASKY.
