a royal city, founded in 1632 by Emperor Fasiledes. Explore the impressive imperial castles, the palace and bath of Emperor Fasiledes, the icon rich monastery and the Falasha villages that reflect Ethiopia’s historic link with Judaism. |

Lalibela:
Walk through the “Wonders of the World”. Rock-hewn churches believed to have been built in the late 12th century by King Lalibela. These remarkable and architecturally outstanding edifices are curved out of a solid rock and are decorated with mural paintings that date back 800 years. |

Axum:
Visit Ethiopia’s ancient city. Axum is believed to be the final resting-place of the original Ark of the Covenant. Touch the huge standing Stelae (monolithic obelisks), all carved out of a single granite stone then visit the bath and palace ruins of the Queen of Sheba. |
